Lots of things can be simplified by using computers these days - including building bicycle frames. This is the place! Both plotter and design software for DOS can be downloaded here for free! These programs have extensive capabilities for the framebuilder, yet cost you nothing. The down side is, it only runs in DOS mode. There haven't been any changes in the program for over 7 years and it is likely that there will not be any in the future. So, be happy with what you are getting for free here and pick up a garage sale 386 with which to run it.
The Paterek 2.0 Framebuilders' Design and Plotter Software: This program allows the bicycle framebuilder to design bicycle frames on the computer screen and send the final design to an HP emulating plotter. Precise, full sized working drawing drawings can be produced on an E sized plotter. Along with the design features, this program is an excellent record keeper that allows the builder to save design files for later use or modification. Receipts can also be generated by this program. This PC compatible program is available free to anyone who downloads it from this web site. The programs and the program docs have been zipped by PKZip for Windows 95. The docs are text files only and do not include the graphics in the original hardcopy documents.
You will be downloading a file named tim.zip. It has been zipped with PKzip shareware. You will need to use a copy of PKunzip or a similar program to unzip this file after downloading.
The PatPlot program will be included when you download, but the installer will not install it for you. You will have to copy it to the same directory where you have installed Paterek 2.0.
