Here is an update on The new Paterek Manual 2004 as of 3/25/05:
If you received a Paterek Manual with either a blue or burgundy cover and a rectangular title window in the front cover, there are a small number of correction pages available. Just use the link below to send an e-mail requesting the correction pages. They will be sent at no charge.
The blue and burgundy covered books have a velobinding. If you want to have a true shop manual, the plastic strip on the back cover can be popped off by twisting a knife blade under it in several places. Then have the whole book punched for a three hole binder by a local printing company. Keeping your Paterek Manual in a three hole binder has two benefits: 1-The book will lay flat on your work bench. 2-Any updates I send out for the blue or burgundy covered books in the future can be easily put into the binder.
Corrections for Plans For Fixtures: One problem that occurred when I was setting up The Plans For Fixtures for the book was that some of the dimensions dropped out when the CAD drawings were converted to .pict files. I caught and corrected most of them. However, there are two critical measurements missing on drawing RTF-01. Along the left edge of the drawing, the overall measurement of 11" is missing. Along the right edge, the 6" measurement is missing.
Additions to Plans For Fixtures: I never really thought to include drawings for the dummy headset and the fork blade bender. Here they are at this web site. Click on the thumbnails below to get larger pictures. You can print them off and tuck them into your book. The specs on the dummy headset drawings are for a 1" diameter steering column.
